Avoid Buying Batteries with a Rechargeable Flashlight
A rechargeable flashlight makes a great addition to any toolbox or kitchen drawer and eliminates the problem of never having the replacement batteries when you need them. There are several types of rechargeable flashlight. Sets including a rechargeable battery pack are available, and include all types from the small hand held type to the heavy duty ones with handles and helmet lamps to angled lamps.
These are great for heavy usage as it saves a packet on replacing batteries regularly. Some allow for using ordinary batteries in times of need, if you can't wait for or can't get to charge. Other types of rechargeable flashlight are ones which do not take any battery and can be manually charged, by manner of shaking, squeezing or winding. Most take anything up to 90 seconds to charge and provide up to around 45 minutes of light on each charge.
Ways to charge these flashlights are to shake up and down for several seconds, to squeeze a trigger a few times, or to wind a handle so simple you can do it in the dark. This type of flashlight is ideal for leaving around in case of emergency such as blackouts, since charging only takes a matter of seconds. Not having to leave them charging at the mains, or leaving batteries to leak inside means they are always readily available - as long as you know where you put it, of course!
These rechargeable flashlights are very cost effective as well as never needing replacement batteries, most run off LED bulbs instead of ordinary bulbs, and have a far greater lifespan. The LED bulb is very durable and good for anything up to 10,000 hours or more. Of course, this makes the LED bulb slightly more expensive, but you can almost guarantee dropping it won't break it, and since they do not produce heat, they don't burn out.
Rechargeable flashlights are available to purchase from many hardware stores and literally thousands are listed online.
