The "Crank Flashlight"
Another interesting and usual tool if the crank flashlight. Crank flashlights are available in a variety of sizes and styles. This is the first type of batteryless flashlight I bought and have never regretted owning it.
The crank flashlights is not quite as popular as the batter powered flashlight, but they are easily found these days. If you are looking for a crank flashlight, try your local sporting goods or hardware store. Usually these stores have crank flashlights in stock in their camping and hunting department. The main reason people buy crank flashlights is because they are going to be using them outdoors, so this is the obvious place to stock these flashlights.
The popularity of these crank flashlights are that they don't batteries or sunlight to work as the standard flashlights do. Turning the crank a few times on the crank is all that is need to charges these babies up. In addition to this, many of these flashlights from top brands now offer a suite of new options for consumers, including AM/FM radio extensions, sirens, lights, and telescoping antennae.
I like these carank flashlights so much that I would recomend puting one in the house, garage, car and the camper. Not ever needing batteries means it will be ready when you need it.
With just around a minute of cranking, a crank flashlight will give you about an hour of light. Now, think of the money you will save over the years with a crank flashlight!
Some manufactures give you the option of a siren, flasher, and even radio capablities with a crank flashlight. This tool wil give you a much appreciated peace of mind when you are traveling.
